There has been some recent discussion on the slowdown of global warming since 2001 (also here). A nice downtake of all sceptics is here http://bit.ly/10NYKyg, suggesting that the slowing down is still within the range of the climate models’ predictions. At the lower range that is. Another hypothesis is shown below (see graph), basically that there is a 60-year cycle in warming and we are simply at a temporary peak (thanks to Gert Schumacher for pointer). According to this, we might even see some temporary cooling during the next years…

Conclusion: Recent temperature evolution does not refute the climate change research, but a good scepticism is always worthwhile, especially for such a wide-ranging and important topic.
